Welcome to the Town of New Baltimore!
The Town Hall is located on County Route 51, approximately 1 mile west of Route 9W. The Town Clerk's Office is located at the Town Hall. Certified copies of birth/death certificates, copies of zoning laws and ordinances, hunting and fishing licenses, and dog licenses are available at the Clerk's Office.
The Town Board holds its regular monthly meeting on the 2nd Monday and a work session on the 4th Monday. These meetings begin at 7:00 pm, are held at the Town Hall, and are open to the public.
The Planning Board meets on the second Thursday of the month.

2025 Townwide Yard Sale Information
SEPTEMBER 20 IS the 22nd ANNUAL TOWNWIDE YARD SALE
The Town of New Baltimore’s 22nd Annual Townwide Yard Sale has been scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025 beginning at 9 AM.
If residents would like to be included on the yard sale map, please contact Town Clerk Barb Finke at (518)756-6671, Ext. 5, by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., fill out this form, or stop by Town Hill and fill out an application by September 18. Please give your street address or whether you will be at District 2 Town Park, and the categories of items for sale (Antiques-A; Books-B; Furniture-F; Housewares-H; Kids’ Clothes/Toys-KCT; Other-O; Sporting Goods-SG; Tools-T).
Maps will be available on the morning of the sale at Town Hall, 3809 CR 51, Hannacroix; Cecil C. Hallock District 2 Park on CR 54; and at other locations throughout the Town.

Water District 1 Residents Asked to Voluntarily Cease Using Sprinklers
Per the Mayor of Ravena and the Village Board and effective immediately, all municipal water users in the Town of New Baltimore (Water District 1) voluntarily cease using sprinklers. Hand watering is acceptable but sprinklers tend to cause a high demand for water. This will assist in alleviating any issues for their Water Plant.

Upcoming Meetings
The Town Board of the Town of New Baltimore hereby schedules a public hearing regarding proposed Local Law No. 2 of 2021 of the Town of New Baltimore to opt-out of the licensing of on-site cannabis consumption sites pursuant to the Marihuana Regulation and Taxation Act and subject to a permissive referendum pursuant to New York State Cannabis Law §131 and the procedure outlined in New York Municipal Home Rule Law §24.
SECTION 1. Legislative Intent
It is the intent of this law to opt the Town of New Baltimore out of hosting on-site cannabis consumption establishments within its boundaries.
SECTION 2. Authority
This local law is adopted pursuant to the terms of the Marihuana Regulation and Taxation Act and specifically Cannabis Law §131, which expressly authorizes cities, towns and villages to opt-out of allowing retail cannabis dispensaries and/or on-site cannabis consumption establishments to locate and operate within their boundaries.
SECTION 3. Local Cannabis On-Site Consumption Opt-Out
The Town Board of the Town of New Baltimore, County of Greene, hereby opts-out of licensing and establishing cannabis on-site consumption establishment within its boundaries.
SECTION 4. Severability
If a court determines that any clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, or part of this local law or the application thereof to any person, firm or corporation, or circumstance is invalid or unconstitutional, the court’s order or judgment shall not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this local law, but shall be confined in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, or part of this local law or in its application to the person, individual, firm or corporation or circumstance, directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment or order shall be rendered.
SECTION 5. Effective Date
This local law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State. Pursuant to the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act and Cannabis Law §131, this local law is subject to a permissive referendum and thus may not be filed with the Secretary of State until the applicable time period has elapsed to file a petition or a referendum has been conducted approving this local law.
